“The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.” Don Williams, Jr.
Two years ago, my family and I took a road trip, a very long road trip, I mentioned it before (here), to Illinois with a stop off in Chicago. It was lots of fun!
We visited the Museum of Science and Industry, and my kids loved it (me too!).
One of my favorite images, during our visit, came from inside the museum; I love that plastered all over the walls, not really plastered, anyways, they have these sayings on a wall…
What makes you laugh? and What gets you moving? and What dreams do you have? and What inspires you? So, very cool!
If you’ve never been… ya gotta go! It is fun, interactive, informative and the entire structure inside and out is incredible.
The evening was overcast with promise of rain; enjoying our ride through downtown Chicago, I sat in the back of an SUV, enjoying the view.
I couldn’t resist the temptation; I started to snap, but once the rain fell… up went the window.
I wasn’t sure how well my camera would work from behind the tinted green window; I am pleasantly pleased! I like the effect produced (see second image)… a lot!
Chicago has lots to offer, which, by the way, is a lot… lots. lots. lots.
The Theaters, Parks and The Pier (love The Pier) and the list goes on… beautiful. fun. lively. couldn’t get enough. looking forward to going back!
Oh… the FOOD. YUM. The food deserves a post all to itself!
