I am taking part in a blog hop called Blog-Tag You’re It, where 28 bloggers from all over the world are sharing on the topic of:
“Sometimes I Wish…”
Have you ever made a wish and then it came true?
Rear-view
Blazing with the breeze,
fiery red and orange;
clinging will soon descend;
golden crisp and strewn about crunching underfoot.
Leaning towards me;
the heat from his words warming me in delight…
filling me with excitement.
Holding hands our fingers intertwined;
held opposite a treasure trove of hope.
The softness of his lips touch down;
tickling my fancy.
He whispers…
“Let go.”
My eyes close and I let go.

“What day is it?”
It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day,” said Pooh.”
― A.A. Milne

Thank you Dave for the introduction; I just recently started reading Dave’s blog, and find his youthful spin refreshing… you can find him blogging over at Mostly Sincere.
Tag Martha you’re it… please check out her contribution to the blog hop beginning tomorrow at http://jordanorlando.blogspot.com/. I know, I will not miss it! I am sure you will enjoy her creative ability to tell a story as much as I do.
Wishes in the hearts of lovers can never be fulfilled, as more you love, the more you wish. ~unknown

You are welcome; I’m glad you liked the introduction. I truly like your site and I wish more people would discover it. Thanks for recommending me to your readers, as well!
To answer your question; yes, indeed! Multiple times. Sometimes it is with the help of my wonderful parents and other times it just happens. As they say, wishing is the first step to making something happen!
I like the poem, too. It’s important to know when to let go and in which situations. People often make the mistake of holding on to things unnecessarily, thus hurting themselves. I’m glad you didn’t fall into the trap. I didn’t, either, as far as I’m aware!
Great post, great blog and excellent writer!

Aww that was a beautiful poem, Mommetime! I love these lines:
“Let go.”
My eyes close and I let go.
This kind of wish hasn’t come true yet for me. I’ll just close my eyes and dream of it for now.
Although I did have wishes that came true! It’s a wonderful feeling when they come true, isn’t it?
Take care and God bless! <3

Yes… they do come true! They don’t always look the way we might envision them… it is when I look back (rear-view) that I can see how truly blessed I am!

If you truly desire it, your wish will come true – though not in the way you expect it or when you want it to. All things occur in Divine timing.

As a travel writer who imparts facts (hopefully in a clear way), I don’t often indulge in poetry. My kids are studying it right now, and because of them, I slowed down enough to enjoy your piece. It’s lovely. Thank you for sharing and allowing me to take a vacation in my mind

I used to wish for, ask for, beg for someone to just dance with me in the living room just for fun. This past summer I asked an old friend out for coffee and it turned into so much more. About 3 weeks after we started dating he grabbed me and started dancing me around my living room. I cried so hard. I had been disappointed on this for so long that I forgot about it. How happy he made me bringing a wish I had forgotten to life.

Lovely poem, Amy. I think part of the secret of making wishes come true is daring to say them, then believing that they truly can become reality.
