A good snapshot stops a moment from running away. ~Eudora Welty
Photographing May 15th… thousands from around the world used the power of photography to create, share and compare perspectives on daily life!
“Share our similarities, celebrate our differences.” M. Scott Peck
I am still in the process of selecting which images I am going to submit, but in the mean time, I will share a few of my May 15th moments.

I got so much more out of this than I thought; I knew I would have fun, I knew that I would enjoy seeing the images captured by others, what I didn’t expect was the reminder of a valuable lesson learned yet one more time… my life is better when I am fully present!

Great moments! And that peach looked soooo good! I know what I’ll be buying tomorrow at the grocery store!
mommetime May 17 2012 - 6:52 am
thank you… I normally buy them from the grocery store, I drive by a fruit and vegi stand everyday, paying little to no attention to it, but on this day I was much more aware of my surroundings. I stopped and bought peaches; my kids and the Sailor LOVE ‘em!

You pictures are really beautiful. I absolutely love the close up of the flower.
mommetime May 17 2012 - 10:27 am
thank you so very much! I love it, too… photographing up close is my favorite. I’m constantly reminding myself, sometime the bigger picture is just as important ~I just love capturing the details!

I like that saying at the end. “A good snapshot stops a moment from running away. ~Eudora Welty” I can now revisit so many moments, from taking pictures.
I need to remember to bring my camera out when I go to the park with the kids more. So many moments I want to look back at, and I just keep forgetting to bring it!
Beautiful pictures btw.

I try to bring my camera with me when I’m out… a little too much! Sometimes it gets on peoples nerves, hence the reason I enjoy photographing objects or flowers just as much as people. My favorite to photograph my kids… them not so much, especially the little one ~she dislikes it the most (sometimes/not always ~she’ll say, “Mom, I’m in a snap it pose” lol I have no idea where she got the “snap it” term… heehee

I’m thinking that when we document such moments either with pictures or in writing, we treasure them more – often we take all the beauty of everyday for granted. I’m inspired to do a couple of ‘day’ pictures soon, Amy. Thanks to you.

Hi, Amy! ~
I love, love, love this post! The variety of images is amazing! And I agree wholeheartedly about how looking for pictures helps increase one’s appreciation of ‘this moment’.
Also, reminds me of one of my favorite photography quotes from Dorothea Lange:
“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
Also, I couldn’t help but notice the M. Scott Peck quote because Bloggerbrook is based on many of his ideas from his book The Different Drum http://www.amazon.com/The-Different-Drum-Community-Making/dp/0684848589
I think the peach picture is my fave, although I really like the mental health sign, too. And the foggy horses, and….
